CONFIRMATION

Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:14-17

Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation for Catholics. It is most often associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is a Catholic Sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts.

At our parish, the youth preparation process lasts two years. At the time of registration, please complete the provided form and pay the donation.

The documents below are required to attend the class and will be requested from each student before the classes begin:

  • Original Baptismal certificate with less than 6 months.

  • Original First Communion certificate, if already received, with less than 6 months.

For questions or to register for the program, contact our Religious Education Coordinator Mrs. Mayra L. Larios at (575) 502-4723 or the parish office at (575) 332-4496.
